I'm running a vm in asia-east1-c

reproduce steps:
1. create vm in asia-east1-{a,b,c}

docker run --rm -it python:3 bash

pip install requests
Collecting requests
  Retrying (Retry(total=4, connect=None, read=None, redirect=None, status=None)) after connection broken by 'ConnectTimeoutError(<pip._vendor.urllib3.connection.VerifiedHTTPSConnection object at 0x7fa691d55e80>, 'Connection to files.pythonhosted.org timed out. (connect timeout=15)')': /packages/49/df/50aa1999ab9bde74656c2919d9c0c085fd2b3775fd3eca826012bef76d8c/requests-2.18.4-py2.py3-none-any.whl

PING dualstack.r.ssl.global.fastly.net (151.101.1.63) 56(84) bytes of data.

--- dualstack.r.ssl.global.fastly.net ping statistics ---
6 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 5098ms

Fastly's network status page  shows no error neither does GCP's.

Doing the same thing from another region/zone (I tried europe-west4-a) works fine.

Thanks

Does your traceroute die here?  163.53.87.65

I can't reach hashicorp and am having similar issues.

It seems that your issue was related to a connectivity issue reported in Incident #18008 on the Google Cloud Status Dashboard. The network connectivity issues from GCE instances has been resolved for all affected users as of 2018-05-07 10:00 US/Pacific. For further information please visit this link

However, if you still have any concern/issues connected with it, let me know.
