Hey,

I am trying to use the Load Balance feature, but it seems I had to create a instance group before that, the question is that, now I have a single VM instance using, how to add this VM to a new instance group?

thanks,
/Tina

Hello Tina,

managed instance groups are created from an instance template and are autoscaled based on requirements you set and manage. You can not add a new instance to that group due to the service being managed by Google [1].

However, if you create an unmanaged instance group you have the ability to micromanage and add new instances to the group, simply click the edit group in the instance group details page and add the VM instance of your choosing. This is detailed in this article [2]

Questions of related to how-to's in GCP would be better answered on a venue such as Stackoverflow.com, I found this post addressing your question [3]. Google Groups is a venue for architectural and outages based discussions.
