I am facing with error 1045 whenever i try to connect to sql instance on google cloud platform from bitnami shh console using mysql -u root -p -h 35.. 188.***.*** .

I have follow the steps as in https://docs.bitnami.com/google/how-to/migrate-database-cloud-sql/#step-1-create-a-new-database-on-google-cloud-sql but it still won't work.

My java app which I deployed on Bitnami Tomcat also won't be able to point to sql instance on google cloud platform.

Any idea how to solve this problem?

Hello Eu,

The error message you have provided implies access issue. It is possible that the root password entered is incorrect. Make sure you are using the correct password when logging in and that you are connecting over SSL if the instance requires it, as mentioned here [1]. Alternatively, you may reset your password, wait for the changes to be implemented, then try to connect again. You may also refer to this stack overflow thread which might be helpful. [2]

I hope that helps.
