Hi,

I accidentally removed the Compute Engine default service account for my project:

emissary-dev

Can I get it restored please?

Thanks!

Hello Tim,

I checked your project and I can see that your Compute Engine default service account still exist. It seems that you've just removed its IAM permissions. In order to resolve the issue, using Google Cloud Console go to IAM & Admin -> Service accounts, copy ID of GCE default service account (It should be in [PROJECT_NUMBER]-com...@developer.gserviceaccount.com format). Then browse to IAM & Admin -> IAM , click on "ADD" button, add the ID to the Members box, select a desired role for it (the default role for GCE service account is Editor) and click on ADD to grant the permissions to the service account.

For more information about Compute Engine default service account please visit this article.

I hope this helps

Hi

If you have Silver, Gold or Platinum package, please go to your support center to recover your service account [Menu>Support].

You can also go to this article [1], and click on “contact the Compute Engine team” to recover your service account. Please include your project ID and default service account you want to recover in the case.
