Hey everyone,

I am new to GCE and I barely used my compute engine but I keep on receiving "API rate limit exceeded" error message both in console and gcutil, I tried some approaches posted on internet and none of them helped, I have no idea what happened, can anyone help me please? Thank you.

Hello,

You can find the API rate limits here: https://developers.google.com/compute/docs/api-rate-limits

If you haven't used compute engine nearly enough to reach these limits, it may indicate that you have a script that's using all your API quota, in which case you'll need to find it and shut it down.

Hope this helps.

Hi Ali,

Thanks for getting back to me. I don't have any script running that's why I am so confused to see this error like many other people in this group.

I contacted Google support and they have reinstated my project and it appears the issue was resolved.
