how to access GUi for linux servers in google cloud?

can anyone help me understand how to access GUI after creating a vm instance? For all linux images , the only connecttion option i see is ssh which directly takes me to terminal.

In similar situations in the past (not GCE specifically) I've used X11 forwarding, see https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Secure_Shell#X11_forwarding .  I imagine it would work on GCE, too, if firewall rules don't block it.

I installed Centos7 and then yummed up MATE GUI which works on two other VM I installed on local machines. When I go to launch it from Google Cloud VM I get 

systemctl isolate graphical.targetPolicyKit daemon disconnected from the bus.We are no longer a registered authentication agent.
So I'm having similar problem. I'm linux newb so I dont' have a clue why it's not working. If I figure it out then I will post.
