Hi guys.

when I ping a static IP (ip external associated with an instance)
not work icmp because I disabled icmp in my firewall settings.

But when I ping an IP (ip forwading rules in network load balancing)
The ping works, my question is ¿ how can I disable icmp for forwading IP.?

Thank You.

Note. I attached one capture of settings ip forwarding.

It is Load Balancer itself which is responding to your ICMP requests. This is an expected behavior and at the moment, its not possible to turn off the ICMP of the LB as you don't have the access to config through your GCE firewall rules.

With that said, if you have a specific use case where you want to disable ICMP of Load Balancer, I would recommend filling a feature request through this link. These requests goes through triage, once done they are forwarded to the product engineers for consideration. However, keep in mind that its not a guarantee that feature will be implemented.

I hope that answers your question.

Thanks
