Start/Stop App Engine Flexible Environment Service through script

Hi,

I have certain services used with very low frequency and traffic. I have setup manually scaled App engine flexible service.

Currently I need to start/stop the specific services (by console GUI). Is there any way to do it either through script or through scheduler?

Cloud Scheduler : Only shows how to trigger a particular URL with HTTP methods. It does not show how to start/stop.

Cloud SDK: Could I used a python package with cloud function or with Cloud run ? I did not find any example or documentation confirming the possibility.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello Iswar,

From the use case that you mentioned, I believe you can use the gcloud command to start/stop the services. And to utilize this command in the script, this article should be helpful. I hope it helps.
