While dealing with hyper V, by mistake disabled network which name look like redhat virtIO xxxxxxx
Is there a way to recover.
I tried to create another instance after cloning that disk. Still its not working. Created an image and then a new instance, still no luck.
If I create a new instance using existing pre defined images, its working.

How to overcome this. I need that server back.

Thanks & Regards.

Hello Sraddhananda,

You can add a startup script on the instance metadata with the following values for (Key) and (Value):

(Key): windows-startup-script-cmd  (Value): netsh interface set interface "Local Area Connection" ENABLED

However, I tried to disable the network adapter on my test instance, and a simple reboot from the Cloud Console automatically re-enabled the adapter and I was able to RDP into it again.

I hope this helps.

Sincerely,
George
