It looks like a disk in regionA can be created from a snapshot that was created from a disk in a different region.

What would the pricing be to do that?

I'm not sure if it's going to charge for network bandwidth to the other region (within US or outside US), duplicating the snapshot in the new region, etc.

Also, how are snapshots stored in Cloud Storage? Based on the pricing it looks like they're in the multi-regional class.

Thanks

Hey Faizan,

OK that helps. Is the egress measured as inter-region egress or internet egress?

Are the snapshots stored as the multi-region Storage class or a special single-region (but charged same amount as multi-region class)?

Thanks

The egress will be charged same as GCE egress. For example restoring the snapshot between regions within US will be charged 0.01 per GB and egress between regions non US will be Internet egress.

Snapshot storage cost is 0.026 per GB / month regardless of location as mentioned here.
