Greetings Compute-rs,

We made quite a few exciting announcements at Google I/O last week, including this one: Compute Engine is now available to everyone (signup here). If you weren't able to join us for any of the sessions live or online we'll remind you that the full session track is still available on the I/O site. We think you'll be as excited about the announcements and the accompanying release as we are and we look forward to seeing what you build on the Google Cloud Platform.

As part of the release we are also happy to announce an accompanying API update, v1beta15. The new release lets you take advantage of many of the new GCE features described during our Google I/O presentations. To help you get started, feel free to review our transition guide, which describes all of our changes and how you can update any existing scripts and applications. For a detailed overview of the changes made to the API please review our release notes.

If you have any questions or concerns, you can find help with Compute Engine at our Getting Help page. For information on our growing online community, check out our Community page or join us on Stack Overflow.

Thanks, and happy computing!
