Yes please...I too want to know what is the situation with GCD2...I have been sending them emails again n again but they haven't responded since the last few months now..I don't know how to get in touch with them now..I am clueless..please advise

Hi Gopi..Thanks for the quick response but unfortunately it wouldn't work in my case as I live in UK so can't just turn up in Dubai...n even if I spend and fly there to see them..it's not confirmed what the outcome would be and how long can I afford to stay in Dubai...
I wish I was there or living locally..I don't know this but can't the UAE police get involved in this..n also the last time they informed about the force majeure..they promised to keep all investors updated about the project progress but obviously it's not happening..
It's been months..I am emailing but no reply..I have moved house so wanted to update them but they wouldn't acknowledge my emails either..
I really don't know what to do now..I just heard that GCD work is about to start soon but what about GCD2...
Even the construction pics and the details of GCD has been deleted from Etastar website..there has to be a reason behind this...
What are the Investors in UAE doing..I really fail to understand..Why don't you all call each other and go to their office..why is it so difficult...it is our hard earned money and for our kids..not for some bloody bloodsucking worms...
I wish I could do anything than sitting here and expressing my concern..they don't even have any office in London otherwise I would had arranged something here..
Anyways please keep everyone updated and please friends..let's stay united on this..

Guys future neighbours .

I wish all of us put our mouth and actions in the same place. 

Whenever some one trys to have a group meeting  ppl will come up and say i cant attend with some excuse. 

The poor person arranging this meeting is stuck with a pathetic response of 2-3 people responding wher in the mails 10-15 claim they will attend. 

This kind of thing will never get all of us any where . 

As the admin  of this group I perosnally have tried having meetings and pre-meeting meetings but all of you all must comprehend we are a huge group all have their own constraints of time still majority being able to not attend its a big NO no -- highly un acceptable. 

I had stopped taking initiatve for the group coz it started loosing focus and the efforts were being targeted at unimportatnt things. 

This TIME an initative has been started .Please people who cannot attend meetings please keep issues to yr self dont confirm your attendance and then NOT TURN up .This is for the all of us.

How man of us are willing to take any initiative and move ourselves and gather and ask for our right . I can count a few on my fingers.

MR PK have u got a solution for the issue you have pointed out . For a start investors in the uae have started this forum. They have got people together . I can gaurantee you that even if you were here and can arrange a meeting with more than 50 members at a time at their office we can move things .Can u do it mr PK get me 50 people to attend my meeting ill move things . I need 50 like minded people to move things. Yes the forum has a large membership. all willing to be counted in . Hithching their wagon to some one elses efforts , hoping some one elses efforts will pay them of (i would call them moochers ). 

This is all as an effort. I have taken a few names just to point out the status. I have no malice towards any body in particular this is an impartial observation. 

Lets wake up -- HUDDLE CLOSER.

Finally the UPDATE 

NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING has happend on the site since it stopped progessing . This i presume is since ateast 10-12 months and i m not sure when it stopped.

Nothing will happen untill we move things.

The developer is happy sitting on our bundle of money making jokers out of all of us .

Now with impunity they say "WE ARE NOT ASKING YOU TO PAY "

Let us come up with an action plan . Let us do something to get our MONEYS worth.

I have called them few days before regarding a flat in CGD1 SO their reply.....they will send a new official e-mail  one with the description of the escrow account and other info...they will restart the construction in few weeks and surprisingly they will finished the construction in july 2011  (let's laugh or scream )  ...same story delivered when somebody is calling ......

Hello Admin,

Yes I do appreciate your efforts and I competely emphatise with you when you say that no one bothers to turn up in the meeting that you try to organise with lot of pain..n I wish my answer was YES in response to your question if u can arrange for 50 members to turn..my efforts are only limited to speech here due to my location and please don't take this as an excuse..I don't mind flying down to Dubai for few days but be honest do you think I will be able to sort out in few days and then where do I put up for all those days..I don't even have accomodation there..

I did not mean to offend anyone..infact I know the efforts you are taking to take some action but are let down bcoz of few lame and lazy investors who have other priorities..

Please letme know how can I help or support you all and then see if I fail to do that..no one here is happy with their money stuck in middle of the dessert and we all need our money back..including me..

Please don't give up so soon...let's stay united on this

I have received an email from stargiga stating that now they have successfully opened an ESCROW account and have asked me to resume the payment as per the payment plan for GCD-2, this means that i have to pay them the amount summed starting from when they asked us to stop the payment till date, which will be a huge amount, i need to know from you Guys in case you have received any thing like this from Stargiga and what should be our further coarse of action.

Hi Guys...I received one similar email informing be about the escrow account being opened and asking me to start my payments again...But they can kiss my ass..There is no way I am paying them a single penny unless they show some progress in the project and do some building work done..I wouldn't mind paying the interest on late payment ONLY if the GCD2 is ever built coz then atleast I can think of selling it off..but for now I am only ignoring their emails...I have already considered as my hard earned money invested in Ajman GONE unless some miracle happens but i have my friend who informed that this project is almost impossible to complete now and all this is for taking the few remaining savings from our pockets...I will be very careful before paying them anything.

What are the other investors doing about this...

They did not ask to resume payments. In my letter it states clearly that:

1) the ESCROW account has been set up

2) payments are to be maide to xyz

but there is no phrase stating that NOW payments are to be resumed... you have to read carefully.

I beg your pardon..your absolutely right..It doesn't state that we should starting paying from now..It only informs the opening of escrow account and the account details..but the strange thing was that the email send to me Goldcrest Views 2 and not Goldcrest Dreams 2...is it the same case with you all...please confirm back.

Hi All,

 

As per my telephonic discussion with Star Giga representative few Months ago, he clearly stated that once the ESCROW account is set up all the pending payments must be resumed according to the revised payment plan, he also clearly stated that the amount must be paid in total < including the past payments which we have not paid due to time taken by startgiga to open an ESCROW account>

 

Although I fully agree that the mentioned latter with subject "Goldcrest view" was send without mentioning the resumption of payments, but it clearly stated the ESCROW account numbers of GCD-1, GCD-2, GCD-3, and off coarse the only reason I could see of sending this notification to all of us is to be ready for resumption of payments...I believe that next 3-4 Months are extremely important, also now is the time where we have to decide something which should be acceptable for everyone, because once we go to them at least we have the common agenda rather then everyone is speaking on his own terms.

 

Few things i would like to highlight.

 

1- Avoiding emails from stargiga can be a temporary solution but off Corse we cannot keep on doing this specially most of us at least want there hard earned money back, and if we keep on doing this, then they can always keep our money and can cancel the contract with us in case we keep on avoiding there payment reminders.

 

2- I hope that at the moment even if they ask for the payments no one will make that, but in case 90 % of us do choose to resume payments sighting fairs that other wise they might have to forfeit the amount which they have already paid, this will definitely make life difficult for someone who has chosen not to pay until there is some solid evidence that the project will get completed on time.

 

Anyone having useful suggestion should also contribute, so that we can build solid grounds from now.

Since project was delayed with reason of Force Majeure, we 

A) request written documents justifying Force Majeure

B) written documents based on what the so calle Force Majeure is over now

C) written documents providing evidence that project can be completed in time.

Hello Friends, I would like to CONFIRM here that I am not making any payments and i mean not a single penny to them till i see something constructive being built. And we need to negogiate with Giga as the price of the property has fallen by more than 45% in Ajman and there is no way I will be paying for a under construction project in Ajman which is much expensive than a ready possession project in Dubai. So i would reuest you all to get united in this and dont start paying them. After ignoring us for the last more than a year, they will now start running to us for more payments. Rest is all upto individuals and i can only request and not influence everyone here.
