Those of you active in the generation of the document, might want to
check if the code on beta is close to what was intended. Check if there
are problems, check want needs to be modified in the design after some
more testing with the code, or what needs to be changed in the code.

Don't depend on me to be able to figure out what the document really
specified.

So far we had 2 testers in this round, and one last month. This is by
far not enough, e.g. no one found the bug(s) I know about and left to
test if you test ;-) Please help.

Further, we need opinions on the award aspect, see the other thread.

We need to check if the requirements and ideas from the document are
fulfilled in the code. Parts of that I don't understand how they are
meant, so I don't know...

Jochen -

I'll take a close look this week. I was occupied last week.

Testing the creators database was actually addressed to all involved in
the definition...

Currently, this should have precedence over indexing or editor work.

I'll keep playing with it, but here's a few questions I found.

In the Pending queue, there are 2 Art Influences submitted by Ed
Tor. They do not display a link on the Pending page, but I used the
Assign button. When attempting to approve these, I get the Internal
Server Error, but they appear to be assigned to me now.

Also, https://beta.comics.org/creator_noncomicwork/4/ also receives
the Internal Server Error when attempting to edit.

Under Ron Frantz, I added a School "University of Michigan". Will
the school have its own display page, like a publisher, listing all the
creators we have tagged with it? At present, this link
https://beta.comics.org/creator_school/1/, found as a link on the Ron
Frantz page, lists HIS name instead of the school name.

The same thing applies to an award, see
https://beta.comics.org/creator_award/2/ . And shouldn't the Ron Frantz
link on https://beta.comics.org/creator_artinfluence/2/ go to his
creator record? It currently is circular, going back to the same page.

I also discovered that I need to write some new documentation for
the new screens "Adding School", "Adding School Degree", etc. I will be
working on that.

A couple items tonight. This creator record,
https://beta.comics.org/creator/5/ , has an art influence of "Richard
Hughes". Using the Search, I do not find this name, either in full or
as simply "Hughes". Should this work?

Also, Creator Degree and Creator School are not in the Search
drop-down, though the other Creator fields are.

Art Influence "Richard Hughes" now appears with more than one
Creator. Should it generate its own page, listing all the Creators he
influenced?

The display link is fixed. Not sure about the error when approving. If
that is still the case, you need to unassign these, so I can check.

fixed

That is the correct page, it shows the fist creator_school entry, which
is for Ron Frantz at this school. So far there are no plans to have
display pages for schools, we can add a git issue for adding these at
some point.

Again, this is correct, it goes to a creator award.

The second link goes to the creator record of Frantz ?

The search problems are now fixed.

Btw, I will in the next days run a last test round of the old log
history migration, for that the beta site will be down, on afterwards
the creators db will be empty again.

OK, thanks. I'll resume some tests next week.
