I was trying to add a feature marked as an "ad" type to a sequence marked as "Promo (ad from the publisher)" but its not showing the autofill. If I change the sequence type to "Advertisement" then the feature shows. This appears to be an oversight that should be corrected, as promo is a specific type of advertisement and not a story type.

features of promos refer to the actual feature / product being
advertised, which is here the feature

In this case, the promo is for The DC Explosion! (https://www.comics.org/feature/46686/) which was a marketing campaign and not a specific character/title. An example of it can be seen here: https://www.comics.org/issue/32380/#1549601

So should I alter the feature from ad type to something else? Or…???

We do not want to open promos for any ad-type. It is not a story feature
either.

It seems we do not support linked features for this case.

Yes, you would need to change the feature Type as it's the only way to use linked features with promos.  Even though it would be incorrect to use another Type.  It's an anomaly that has been brought for discussion but no one was interested in changing it.  Ad type features only work with "Advertisements" and "Comics-form Advertising".

Thanks, Don! This seems like an anomaly that should be addressed, but what do I know?
