Hello,

I am hoping the functionality to allow links to URLs can be turned on in the series level Tracking Notes field. I am experimenting with this for mass-market paperbacks for book numbers listed in the GCD to allow links between titles and their book numbers when sequential.

The above is the one I made the effort on.

Thanks
My best

Any issue links in tracking notes should be series bonds.

I myself am not having another discussion about the misuse of tracking
notes for non-comic and publisher numbering.

I disagree. It’s not misuse when the whole purpose of the field is to track non-comic book connections

If you can make a series bond to track between sequential book numbers even when they align with books we do and don’t index here, I am all for that. Until then I am left with the Tracking Notes field to note them in.

Setting up html linking in that field allows easier movement between those book numbers we do have in the database.

So this isn’t a discussion about “misuse” when none is taking place. It’s a request to add a functionality to a field that is within your powers to do.

So I respectfully ask if you could turn the functionality in this field please.

Or I would like to work with you in setting up a Series Bond that serves the same or similar function that I was attempting in the Tracking Notes field on this series.

Thank you
My best
Ray

Which is flat out wrong. Tracking notes were introduced and used to
track comic book connections:

https://docs.comics.org/index.php?title=Tracking_(Series_Bond)&oldid=5211

It all refers to comic book series.

Nothing was changed in its definition after we introduced series bonds.
