I've entered the comic (https://www.comics.org/changeset/7665503/compare/), which is non-linguistic aside from the title (Dynamite Diva vs. Tedward) and artist's names (Jasper Jubenvill Josh Pettinger — no by, and, or anything, just a linebreak between their names).

As I entered everything, it would only allow my add characters from a list of two options that were marked non-linguistic in their titles.

Both Dynamite Diva and Tedward have existing character pages, so I suspect there must be some strange coding issue that limits non-linguistic comics to having characters specified as non-linguistic?

Thank you for any help solving this issue.

We filter in the selection/dropdown characters by their language, i.e.
to correspond to the language of the series.

I guess we don't want to have non-linguistic character records ?

Or perhaps at least allow the search to override the filter in the case of non-linguistic.

sure, that is the path, unless we want to use non-linguistic characters.

I'm having a similar problem to this for an (undetermined) language title: https://www.comics.org/issue/2760741/

Is it possible to alter the behavior for (undetermined) similar to how nonlinguistic is handled?

By the way, in this instance the book was marked (undetermined) "as it varied within the series on a book-by-book basis: sometimes English, sometimes non-linguistic, primarily Italian" (as per the series's notes section).
