Sorry to be gone so long.  I'm finally beginning the wrap up on the requirements doc.

The link represents the last draft of the document; I'll be working on cleaning it up this evening and perhaps over the next few days.

Please review it and post any suggestions for updates to the list.

OK, I've only make minor changes to the document (at link).  I'm thinking this might be a good enough pass to submit to the tech team, and to allow them to look it over and  ask questions.  I'm going to go ahead and send both the tech list and the board a link to this document for their review.  If anyone has additional input, please let me know and I'll try to incorporate it.  If anyone on the board or tech team has any questions i don't know the answer to, I'll bring those questions back to the group for discussion.  Both the tech list and the board list have public archives, so I'll follow up this post with links to the relevant threads on each list so the curious may follow those conversations.

OK, here's a link to the Tech list thread:

And here's a link to the Board list thread:

As I type this there are no follow ups to either yet, but if you check back periodically you will probably see conversations evolve in both places.  If you have a comment to make about one of these conversations but aren't a member of the relevant list, you may post your comment here and I will relay it for you.

I looked the document over and believe you've captured what we
discussed without any holes.

Will the Newspaper Strip Database be for indexing newspaper strips only or will it include the “strip index” database ?

Example: http://www.mi6.co.uk/sections/comics/index_strips.php3

(where each story will have links to comic book reprints + newspapers it has appeared in)

Yes, it will include a "master" strip index, which will include the links to all the places each strip was published.
