Adaptation

This is not on the current list of genres. It was written in (in some
form) over 1,000 times.

It would be used for works adapted from or inspired by works in other
media such as TV, film, novels, etc.

Like period, it was objected that this is not a genre as there is
nothing narrative that unites the stories where this has been used.

Don't like this one. I'm not sure that keywords will help get at what
the 1000 entries are trying to get at but we've got to do something
about the way we credit adaptations, too.

I agree. Not a genre, but probably a very useful keyword… Tony's also right about us needing to figure out how to credit adaptations properly, primarily in the Script field.
