Performance after upgrading your Cloud Datastore database to Firestore in Datastore mode

It seems Google is preparing to upgrade my app's datastore (step1), and the app performance has already significantly degraded (many requests take 30+ seconds, instead of less than a second they normally do).

Questions:
- Will that performance degradation be the norm after has completed?

- How long the upgrade process will typically last?
- How exactly can I monitor the upgrade progress? The upgrade banner on my datastore page only links to the upgrade information page, not having log filter link as Google states in the page. I can't find anything about datastore log in my Logs Explorer like that page described either.

Hi Hung,

As mentioned in the docs and you noted you can follow the stages of the migration in the Logs explorer. If there are no logs for your project then your project has not started migrating. You'll also receive an email notification at least a week before your project starts migrating. Since you didn't find any migration related logs in the logs explorer, your project does not look to be migrating.
