eBay donation progress

    I have received a follow-up e-mail from eBay regarding their
payment of the donation mentioned in the contract to supply GCD data in
a specialized format for their use.  It was cc-d to 4 other people at
eBay, indicating to me that they do not know how it slipped through the
cracks and are scrambling to get the information and donation from the
right person.  I'll keep you informed.

    A couple of days ago I was contacted by eBay and asked to fill out
a form they use for their vendors.  I have submitted it and believe that
means we are one step closer to receiving our donation.

    Jochen, did you receive a similar request regarding the work you
did for eBay?  If not, I can ask them to send you one.

    A few days ago I received a purchase order for $20,000 from eBay,
along with a request to submit an invoice via their Ariba vendor
system.  I have submitted the invoice and received an e-mail stating
that it has been approved for payment.  I will continue to keep you
informed of progress.

    Separately for Jochen, I have asked about your situation but have
not received a reply on that.  Perhaps they prefer to directly contact
you as the contractor?  You may need to ask about a purchase order, as
that appears to be a key step in their process.  I would suggest anyone
at eBay you have previously communicated with, or Jacob Acosta
(jaca...@ebay.com ), as he was the person who finally broke free our
donation.
