Anonymous registration

My mailbox has been blowing up with anonymous registrations this morning. I stepped away from my desk for 15 minutes and came back to this bunch.

 

I, for one, am ready to put a halt to anonymous registrations!

    Considering that we cannot find enough volunteers to staff our
current roles, I sincerely doubt we will find enough to police all the
registrations.  Does anyone know of a two-step registration method we
could easily implement?

make the effort but I suppose they have that automated.

I see some possible solutions,
make the steps slightly more complicated, such as forcing folks to
give more information, or having to check boxes down in our response
email

or just no longer sending these responses to a mailing list. It's
been kinda fun to see a few of these, but the bad seems to outweigh
the good.
Maybe there is a way to flag these things once they post an index or
correction? or to pull out and not post the ones that leave certain
fields blank?
I see that most of the current batch only answered names and country.

Any other ideas?

anyone can add an email filter in the emailprogram to filter out New
Indexer emails

So the only answer is to warn folks on these mailing lists that
massive spam may happen, and to be prepared.

At work we have "something" but since I'm now only point of contact for IT vendors, I don't know exactly what it is. I can find out. It can't be very expensive, otherwise we wouldn't use it.
