Fwd: comics.org redesign is on the curriculum

I think most of us saw this on the tech list, but Lou reminded me that a couple of you may not follow that list, so I'm forwarding it here.

 

We don't yet know how many students might be involved in this project, but the semester will begin just after Easter and will run for 13-14 weeks. I encourage all the board members to be individually active during the presentation and beta testing phases to supply input and feedback. I'll try to remember to post another reminder here when have something to look at.

Hi,

I met some time ago a lecturer of a German university of applied
sciences. He is a comic fan and teaches in computer science and media.
We talked about how comics.org needs a web redesign and that it might be
a nice project for students to work on.

So, I just was on the phone with him, he together with a colleague
intend to use a comics.org web redesign as the practical project during
a lecture course in the coming semester. We still need to talk about the
details some more, but it looks like there is a very good chance that
our site will get an overhaul in its appearance.
