It is probable that Pierre Vittet has hit a naughty bug about md5 in GCC, and notably in
GCC 4.6 (where we can assume the bug will stay).
See http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-help/2011-09/msg00126.html
and http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-patches/2011-09/msg00963.html
My assumption is that this (rare) bug won't be corrected in GCC 4.6, but I still want to
release a MELT plugin 0.9 which works.
So perhaps we should change the function meltgc_string_hex_md5sum_file_sequence in
melt-runtime.c (line 5380 and after) so that its bufblock is allocated with a large enough
alignment?
What do you think?
Cheers.
