Hello English Ministries of GCBCR, 

The English Pastor Search Committee (ePSC) led by Stuart Bice is diligently working towards filling the open position of the English Pastor. This committee consists of Stuart Bice, Elder Perry Cheng, John Chu, Joe Gardner, Cathy Zhang Yan & Diana Ding. 

Below is the process being followed:

1. Once the ePSC recommends a candidate; that candidate will be interviewed by the Board of Elder and The Board of Deacons.

2. If both Boards approve the candidate recommendation, then the Board of Elder and The Board of Deacons shall jointly present the final candidate for congregational approval.

3. During this time, several zoom meetings will be scheduled for church members to interact with the candidate, to pray and to seek the Spirit's leading.

4. Finally, the candidate will be voted on by church members in a Congregational Meeting

5. For the calling of Pastor, the quorum of Congregational Meeting shall be two thirds of all eligible voting members of the Church and all decisions are to be approved by three fourths of valid cast votes.

The ePSC is currently providing a window of opportunity for church members to provide any feedback, ideas, suggestions, questions or concerns regarding the search process. This window will end on 5/31 so that the ePSC can continue to move forward with the process. Thank you.
