GCBCR >> Church reopening on 7/12/2020

Hello English Ministries, 

GCBCR is tentatively targeting 7/12/2020 for church reopening. A Church Reopening Committee consisting of Worship Deacons from Chinese & English, as well as a handful of folks are leading this effort to plan for the reopening. As of now, we are planning on having ONLY Sunday Service (No on-site lunch, Sunday School, ESL, etc). More details to follow as the detailed plan becomes available.

Hello English Ministries, 

We are proud to announce that Pastor Ro has officially and unanimously been approved by English Pastor Search Committee (EPSC), Deacon Board (BoD) and Elder Board (BoE) as a candidate for English Pastor. Please see the announcement below from Elder & Deacon Board.

1. After P. Carter's resignation in April, EPSC swiftly identified P. Ro as a potential candidate for GCBCR future English pastor. EPSC reviewed P. Ro application, resume, testimony, and interviewed him as well before recommended to BoE and BoD for consideration.

2. BoE and BoD conducted an interview with P. Ro and his wife Natalie and all members of both boards unanimous accept EPSC's recommendation. Both boards officially recommend P. Ro as the candidate of the English Pastor to the congregations. GCBCR will have congregation voting on calling P. Ro at the end of this year during the Oct Church Member Voting Meeting.

3. In the near future, we will have P. Ro preach in Chinese worship (7/5), Q and A sessions, and P. Ro will visit some fellowships, so everyone will have the opportunities to speak with him and ask him questions.
