Hello GCBCR English Ministries!
As we continue to feel the impacts of the coronavirus epidemic worldwide, we would like to echo Hebrews 10:25 "And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near." To help make that possible (in light of many folks being in self-quarantine, or being cautious about Asian gathering hot spots), we are employing a host of technologies to help us "not neglect meeting together" Pls see below.....
SUNDAY SERVICE LIVE STREAM
For the month of Feb, we will continue to do a simple live stream of the English Sunday Service on Facebook live.
Just go to our church Facebook page at 11am and you should be able to join us. Make sure you share and maybe even have a watch party!
We are working on improving the audio so that it will be crisp and clear.
If you miss the live stream, you can always rewatch on Facebook OR go to our church YOUTUBE channel the following Monday, as all sermons are also posted there.
SMALL GROUPS VIDEO CONFERENCE MEETINGS
Some small groups and also our elder/deacon meetings have also started using video conferencing instead of meeting together in person.
Below are the two FREE services that are currently being used. Feel free to use them and please do not stop meeting as a small group.
This is the time where we absolutely need to come together in prayer.
CORONAVIRUS SUPPORT FUND
Our church is also in contact with a local church in Wuhan. We are working out the details of how to send funds/supplies/etc to help the churches/residents of Wuhan. If you have a burden to help support this, we ask that you write down "Wuhan Support" in the memo of your check when you drop it (or cash) in the offering box.
If you've been absent from church and wonder the impacts, pls read the short article below I wrote recently.
Lastly, a piece of GOOD NEWS... lunch after Sunday services will restart in March!!!! The church leadership feels confident that we can resume normalcy after Feb.
Please come out of your hiding and join us in the worship of our victorious Lord that casts out all fears.
In Christ,
P. Carter
