Hello English Ministries,

I'm sure all of us are feeling mentally/physically/emotionally and spiritually drained from the impacts of covid-19 over the last week or two. Please know that I am praying for each of you by name. Also, all small groups (adults, youths, prayer, men's group, women's group, etc) are already meeting online via Zoom video conference. If you are interested, please contact Pastor Carter to be plugged in. This is the time to lean into God's community through prayer, God's promises, and tangible ways of supporting each other.

TITHE & OFFERING:

***We recognize that many church members have been financially hit hard due to COVID-19, especially small business owners, service workers, etc. If there is any way the church can help you financially, please let us know***.

3 ways to give:

2) BILL PAY: You may set up weekly/monthly offering from your bank website. It is a service offered by all banks called BILL PAY. Please follow up with Finance Deacon 804-967-0756 after setup to make sure checks are received.

Hello Pastor Carter,

I don't believe we have actually met. I have (in the past) attended the southside campus. My wife (as you may have guessed) is Chinese. Hence, the reason for my affiliation. My membership is not with the Chinese church though. As much as I truly love the people there, I do have another church I call home. My wife, sadly, is not a Christian. She has some very odd views of Christianity and what the Bible teaches. The only thing I know to do is to continue sharing the truth and love of God's message with her and pray for her daily. The rest will have to be up to her. Her son is also not saved. However, he is not quite as closed minded as his mom. Pastors Larry and Tenny Farnen have also been assisting me to reach out to both of them. 

Since I do not attend the Chinese church, you are free to remove my name from your email list if you wish. I would not wish to be a burden to you or your church. I am also not technology literate. I don't know how all of these email chains work. Although, I do appreciate very much all of your efforts keeping me in the loop. I would even like to come back and visit the Chinese church when we all can get back to a normal life (whatever normal is anymore). Perhaps, one day, I can come and visit you at your church. I have been praying for the people both in and from China. This includes those within your church. If you would like to help me pray for my wife to get saved, I certainly NEVER turn away prayer. Prayer works. Her name is Lina Zhong. Her son's name is Yuan Peng.

Hello English Ministries,

I've observed a whole lot of intentionality this week. People checking up on each other, praying for each other, and supporting each other. Let's continue to navigate this time of uncertainty together as a Gospel-focused community. Finally, as we continue to move into the next several days, I'd like to direct your attention to two items. 

1. TESTIMONY SUNDAY 3/29 @11am (NO YouTube live stream)

We will be using Zoom Video Conference. Please come, share, and celebrate the goodness of God in our lives in spite of our circumstances.

We will also be doing family/home communion. Please have some crackers/bread and wine/juice prepared at home prior to the service. Try to use red wine/red grape juice as best you can, since it's meant to represent the blood of Jesus shed for us. If not available, be as creative as you can!

2. LOCAL HOSPITAL MEDICAL SUPPLIES FUNDRAISING:
Do you want to make a difference and help our local medical staff during this pandemic? Our church already purchased $5000 worth of supplies for local hospitals and is fundraising for more. In the last 48 hours, we've already raised an additional $15,000! Let us join together as a community and help our sacrificial medical professional heroes. Ways to give:
