Chinese New Year is just around the corner, and we have events that you'd definitely want to put on your calendar!!
Please actively participate and we covet your prayers as well.
MARK YOUR CALENDAR:
1. CHURCH CNY CELEBRATION - Join us 1/25, 5:30pm-9pm as we celebrate as a church community! Lots of food, games & fellowship.
2. CHINESE NEW YEAR OUTREACH: Our church will have an exhibition booth at the OCA-CVC Chinese New Year celebration at the Modlin Center in U of Richmond on 2/1 @10am-3pm. Come pray, volunteer and help us reach out to our Asian community! Sign up here: https://tinyurl.com/CNY-2020
LOTS OF MINISTRY SERVING OPPORTUNITIES
1. COMMUNITY NEEDS: A young lady who lives in the little white house across the street from our church just had a baby. Her name is Elizabeth. She had delivery complications and is in financial difficulties. Below is a list of her needs. If the Lord moves you to help her out, please bring your donations and leave the donations in Pastor Carter’s office and we will deliver the items to her. Let's be light to our neighbor! Items in need: Groceries (ground meats, milk, butter, frozen fish sticks, chicken, yogurt, etc), Toilet paper, Paper towel, Baby wipes, Pull ups for her three years daughter
2. MLK BACKPACK OF HOPE: Give Hope. Pack a backpack on 1/18/2019! A child in foster care is comforted by a backpack of toys, clothing and books and a refugee feels more at home when greeted with a bag of culturally-relevant items. 1. NEW ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL STUDY: The adult SS will be studying the book of Titus. You will be challenged to display the gospel in your lives through doing good. Challenged to do good works not to earn God’s favor, but as a result of God’s favor.
2. JOBS: Lots of job openings at the IMB!! IT, Marketing, Engineering, Service Desk, Project Manager, Nursing, etc!! Pass this along....LINK: https://tinyurl.com/IMB-JOB
