Season:

How did we do this year?
Considering we planned the tournament schedule ourselves and did all
the funding we did an outstanding job. Allot of people said, "wait
until we have a coach" because he might not want to do the tournaments
we select. Had we done that we wouldn't have had time to do anything
and the season would have been a huge disappointment. Allot of
people thought we wouldn't have the Colon Baker, but we did and the
teams that came loved it. Allot of people didn't think we would make
it to Big Blue, but we did and we finished fourth and brought back a
team brimming with confidence. Allot of people didn't think we would
have a good showing at the state tournament, but we did with Joey and
Johnnie finishing 3rd and 4th respectively. The team finished 15th out
of 74 teams. Not to mention GB had the most city champs this year
with 4.

In each match we were seriously short personnel, but it was also
apparent once we started wrestling, we were a force to be reckoned
with. Our opponents could see just how good we really were and I am
sure they all recognized we are preparing for the future.

We started the season with nothing and ended it with allot of
confidence, a great showing at the state tournament, an excellent
coaching staff and a room full of excellent wrestlers ready for next
year. This is truly a year where a new foundation was laid.

I am proud of everyone who played a positive roll in helping us this
year, we really did have a great season.
