Job Description:
Job Overview As a Test Writer you will be responsible for writing and managing System Integration Testing SIT test cases for the AVEVA MES system within the Jira project management tool Your role will be critical in ensuring that our MES solutions meet the highest standards of quality and performance
Key Responsibilities
· Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including developers business analysts and product owners to understand the requirements and functionalities of the AVEVA MES system
· Develop comprehensive SIT test plans and test cases based on functional and nonfunctional requirements
· Write clear concise and detailed test scripts in Jira ensuring they are aligned with best practices and company standards
· Execute SIT test cases and document the results including passfail outcomes and any defects identified
· Work closely with the QA team to ensure proper defect tracking and resolution in Jira
· Review and update test documentation as necessary to reflect changes in system functionality
· Participate in test planning meetings and provide input on test strategies scope and scheduling
· Assist in the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies
· Provide training and support to team members on test case writing and best practices in Jira
Qualifications
· Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
· Proven experience in software testing specifically in writing test cases for system integration testing
· Familiarity with the AVEVA MES system or similar manufacturing execution systems is highly desirable
· Proficient in using Jira for test management and defect tracking
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced teamoriented environment
· Knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices
Preferred Qualifications
· ISTQB or other relevant testing certification
· Experience with automated testing tools and methodologies
· Understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies
