Description:
Highly experienced Senior Tableau Architect and Developer with 8+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale Tableau installations with SQL Server databases, and expertise in performance improvement and optimization.

Certification in Tableau or related technologies

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement large-scale Tableau installations
• Develop and enforce best practices for Tableau administration and performance tuning
• Identify and troubleshoot performance issues in Tableau dashboards and data models
• Optimize and improve performance of Tableau workbooks, dashboards, and data sources
• Develop and implement data storytelling and visualization best practices
• Design and implement complex data models, including star and snowflake schemas
• Develop and optimize Tableau calculations, including level of detail, data blending, and data densification

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in Tableau administration, development, and architecture
• 5+ years of experience with SQL Server, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling concepts
• Strong understanding of Tableau's underlying architecture and security structures
• Expertise in developing complex Tableau dashboards, data visualizations, and data models
• Strong SQL skills, with experience writing efficient and optimized SQL queries
• Experience with performance optimization and troubleshooting in Tableau

 Technical Skills:

• Tableau Server, Tableau Desktop, and Tableau Online
• SQL Server and PostgreSQL
• Data warehousing and dimensional modeling concepts
• Tableau Data Model and data governance tools, such as Tableau Metadata API
• Data visualization best practices and data storytelling principles
• Tableau calculations, including:
• Level of detail (LOD) expressions
• Data blending and data fusion
• Data densification and aggregation
• Parameter-based calculations and filters

 Performance optimization and troubleshooting, including:

• Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks
• Optimizing workbook and dashboard performance
• Improving data source and query performance
• Using Tableau's built-in performance monitoring and analysis tools
• Experience with advanced Tableau features, such as:
• Tableau Prep and data preparation best practices
• Tableau Catalog and data governance

 Tableau Server administration and configuration, including:

• User and group management
• Content and data management
• Performance and scalability optimization

 Tableau API and integration with other tools and systems, including:

• REST API and webhooks
• Tableau Connector and data source integration

 Tableau and Python integration using TabPy Performance Optimization Skills:

• Experience with Tableau's performance monitoring and analysis tools, including:
• Workbook and dashboard performance analysis
• Data source and query performance analysis
• Server and database performance analysis

 Knowledge of performance optimization techniques, including:

• Data aggregation and summarization
• Data caching and indexing
• Query optimization and rewriting
• Workbook and dashboard optimization
• Experience with optimizing Tableau for large datasets, including:
• Data sampling and aggregation
• Data visualization and rendering optimization
• Workbook and dashboard optimization for large datasets
