Coaches,

We are experiencing extensive issues in the facility and stands - while your swimmers are coming in hot, so are their parents in the stands.

We have unfortunately had swimmers miss their heats and have had meet marshals in tears.  Both of these behaviors are unacceptable and do not adequately reflect the values of our LSC.

To diffuse the situation, we will implement the following changes going forward:
  • There are absolutely no chairs of any kind in the facility for spectator use.  This includes stadium chairs, camping chairs, etc. The only exception is for guests utilizing the ADA identified areas.
  • Do not save seats for longer than a brief trip to the restroom.  This will open up those saved spaces for parents to watch their swimmers.
  • Absolutely no setting up chairs in hallways or camping out there.  Remember, we are guests at this facility and must respect their space.
  • Parents, siblings, and other visitors are not allowed in the marked team areas in the spectator stands.
  • Get cozy - make sure there is no extra spaces so everyone can watch their swimmer's events.
Where can spectators sit?
  • In the bleachers alongside the main pool.
  • On the far side of the bleachers adjacent to the smaller pool.
Where can spectators stand?
  • Spectators may line the rail alongside the far end of the main pool, one person deep.
  • This area is a watch-and-go zone; please do not stand here for the entire session.
As parents, officials, spectators, and coaches, we must remember that little eyes are watching our behavior.  Remember everyone is as anxious as you are to watch their swimmer, and every swimmer here earned the right to shine and be celebrated by their loved ones.  Treat everyone with kindness and respect.

Thank you for helping turn this ship around - we are ready for a spectacular Saturday night and an amazing Sunday!

Carron
