Good morning Coaches,We are looking forward to racing this weekend at Arundel Olympic Swim Center. This email will detail some important information about this weekend:Please find the psych sheet, estimated timeline and warm-up assignments , updated meet notice attached to this email. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions about those documents.Session Start Time adjustments:Session 4 Start Time Adjusted: Please note that we adjusted the start time of session 4 to 1:30pm with warm-ups starting at 12:30pm. This allows us all just a little more breathing room after a full Sunday morning session and ensures adequate warm-up time for the older swimmers.Coaches/Officials Check in: In the main lobby to your left as you enter. PLEASE DROP YOUR PAYMENT TO THE FRONT DESK AT CHECK INCoach Seating: Please only set up chairs on the lane 1 side of the pool. We have limited deck space on lane 8 and the officials need a walking lane. Coaches are welcome to stand on the lane 8 side of the pool to coach but please set up chairs only on the lane 1 side.Hospitality:Hospitality will be provided for coaches and officials in the classroom closest to the start end of the pool.Seating:Athlete seating chart will be sent. We have limited bleachers so most athletes will need chairs.Spectators:The entire mezzanine will be open to spectators. We will reserve a section at the start end as standing room only in the mezzanine and are going to ask spectators to rotate in and out of that area to allow access for as many parents to watch their athletes as possible. We will have volunteers on site encouraging that rotation. They are welcome to bring chairs to sit in the classroom at the bottom of the stairs, or bring a tent and enjoy the outside.Warm-UpsThe warm-up schedule is attached. In addition there will be one lane of continuous warm up and cool down during the competition. During competition athletes may only enter this lane from the turn in. Please remind them to stay off the lane line and be aware of the competition happening one lane over.Concessions: There will not be concessions for this meet. Please remind athletes to bring food/snacks and drinks.Parent Chaperones:If your team would like to have one parent volunteer to sit with your team, that would be permissible. This is especially the case for 12 and under sessions. We understand that the LCM environment does not always allow coaches to hang out where their teams are sitting. If you would like a parent to act as a team chaperone, please let me know the parent's name, so our volunteers will expect them and get them a marshal vest. These parents will be expected to attend the marshal briefing prior to each session.Volunteer Timers:We are just a little shy of needed timers for this summer meet. If your team is able to help recruit one or two timers across the meet that would help us significantly. Please let me know or email our volunteer coordinator at: volunteerc...@annapolisswimclub.orgPlease let me know if you have any athletes or spectators who might need special accommodations, so I can let the Meet Referee know.Live stream will be up and running:Saturday -- https://tinyurl.com/ASCSwimDay1Sunday -- https://tinyurl.com/ASCSwimDay2ASC appreciates your support for our Independence/ LCM meet in the Arundel Olympic Swim Center. Please let me know before and after the meet what could make your team's experience better. Our goal is to provide a fair, fast and fun environment for the athletes and coaches.Warm regards,Anne Canaday
