Good evening Coaches,

This email will detail some important information about this weekend:

Please find the psych sheet, estimated timeline and warm-up assignments etc. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions about those documents.

Positive Check In & Timers: All session 1 (FRIDAY) events require positive check in by 4:50pm at the table near the starter. This includes: 9-12 200 IM, 13-18 400 IM, 13-18 400 free, and 13-18 800 Free. We are providing timers for Friday evening all events- swimmers must provide their own counter. All Friday events are swum fastest to slowest.

Coaches/Officials Check in: In the main lobby to your left as you enter. PLEASE DROP YOUR PAYMENT TO THE FRONT DESK AT CHECK IN

Coach Seating: Please only set up chairs on the lane 1 side of the pool.  We have limited deck space on lane 8 and the officials need a walking lane.  Coaches are welcome to stand on the lane 8 side of the pool to coach but please set up chairs only on the lane 1 side.

Hospitality:
Hospitality will be provided for coaches and officials in the classroom closest to the start end of the pool.

Seating:
Athlete seating will be assigned. Please look for team signs. ASC will be upstairs.

Spectators -
The spectator space will be very limited and blocked off from where the athletes are sitting. Because space will be limited, we will have a standing room only section in the mezzanine and are going to ask spectators to rotate in and out of that area to allow access for as many parents to watch their athletes as possible.  We will have volunteers on site encouraging that rotation.  They are welcome to bring chairs to sit in the classroom at the bottom of the stairs, or bring a tent and enjoy the outside

Warm-Ups
Please note with the large number of athletes we have attending in some cases teams will need to share warm up lanes.  We will have one lane for continuous warm-up and cool down available during competition.  This lane can only be entered from the shallow/bulkhead side of the pool during competition.  Please remind swimmers they need to be actively swimming in this lane- the shallow end is a temptation for loitering.

Parent Chaperones:
If your team would like to have one parent volunteer to sit with your team, that would be permissible.  This is especially the case for 12 and under sessions.  We understand that the LCM environment does not always allow coaches to hang out where their teams are sitting.  If you would like a parent to act as a team chaperone, please let me know the parent's name, so our volunteers will expect them and get them a marshal vest.  These parents will be expected to attend the marshal briefing prior to each session.

Volunteer Timers:
For parents who don't want to rotate in and out of the mezzanine we welcome them to consider timing with us.  Anyone interested in timing can email me here with which sessions they are available or check in at the front table to offer,

ASC appreciates your support for our Spring LCM meet in the Arundel Olympic Swim Center.  Please let me know before and after the meet what could make your team's experience better.  Our goal is to provide a fair, fast and fun environment for the athletes and coaches.

Warm regards,
Anne Canaday
