She is also the author of two Echocardiography textbooks which are used in teaching programs within Australia, the USA and Europe. She has edited and contributed to several other echocardiography textbooks and is a regular speaker at national and international echocardiographic conferences.
Background: Echocardiography is the commonest form of non-invasive cardiac imaging but due to its methodology, it is operator dependent. Numerous advances in technology have resulted in the development of interactive programs and simulators to teach trainees the skills to perform particular procedures, including transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography.
Hi all, long-time lurker here. Starting a new job in an echocardiography team (as a Physiologist/technician, not a doctor) soon and will be learning essentially from scratch. Does anyone have any good online resources (sites/YouTube/subs) that'd help me learn? Am relatively confident in my general anatomy and physiology of the heart, it's more the technique and technical side of echos that I think I'll need the most help with. Also if anyone has any good textbooks or tips or anything then I'd be super grateful.
