New issue 1095 by
menashe....@gmail.com: Filling static values from csv file
http://code.google.com/p/gbif-providertoolkit/issues/detail?id=1095
Right now, the mapping window includes the option of auto-mapping of
dynamic values and manual-mapping of static values. I wish I could fill all
the static values in one click, uploading them from a csv file which has
the headers defined exactly as the mapped terms, and only one row of
values. No need for a massive copy&paste...
Since this feature is missing, I'm using Bash scripting for copy&paste and
then join the 2 attached files (2-rows.csv is the static values file).
As an alternative, one can use a browser add-on for filling forms using
csv, or some kind of autofill add-on. An example:
http://wiki.imacros.net/CSV_input#Input_from_Comma_Separated_Data_.28CSV.29_File
A possible text once (and if) this feature is implemented:
...You can also load all the static values from a dedicated csv file, for
filling the fields below.
The csv file should be created in the following way.
First row: The exact field names as below. Case-sensitive!
Second row: The static values to be used for ALL occurrences.
Please click here to open your static values csv file.
Best regards,
Menashè
