*MapUp program available only for communities in the following countries: Philippines, Cambodia, Bangladesh and Malaysia (individual mappers would need to work with either a GBG, GDG, GEG or GSA to sign-up).

Dear Communities,

Are you ready to be a citizen cartographer?

We are excited to announce the a season for our 2016 MapUps!

For those new to mapUps, a mapUp is where a community comes together to learn how to use Google Map Maker and make contributions to improve maps in ones locality. We have been supporting mapUps in the region since 2009 and have run over 200 mapUps in Asia!

As with previous mapUps, you will find all information/instructions you need about organizing a MapUp in this the MapUp Toolkit website. Slots are limited so applications will be reviewed on a first come, first requirements completed basis.

The 2016 Season 1 MapUps should happen between January 20-March 15, 2016. In order to leave us time to organize support, please make sure you sign up to request support before January 10.

So start planning and happy mapping!
