· Court orders registration of FIR against Builder-Corporator-Police Officials-BMC officials at Malad Police Station.
· Case relates to illegal SRA project being implemented in Malad.
· The registration of FIR exposes the corrupt nexus that exists and operates amongst the builders-politicians-police-officials.
Addl Chief Metropolitan Magistrate-Borivali has ordered registration of FIR against Builders-Salim Chunawala & Ayub Chunawala, Smt Jaya Satnam Tiwana-Corporator; Shri Telang & Shri Karve-Police personnel from Bangur Nagar Police Station, SD Kamblekar & Gawde from P North Ward under section 148, 452, 326, 427, 384, 149 of Indian Penal Code .
The complaint was filed by Shivgami Harijan, a resident of Mutthumari Nagar-Kanchpada, Malad (West), whose house along with houses of 350 other residents belonging to Scheduled Caste community were illegally and forcible demolished by the above said Builder in nexus with the police officilks from Bangur Nagar Police Station, local Corporator & P North ward officials on 31st May 2010.
The said Builder has been illegally carrying out a Slum Rehabilitaion Scheme though the residents have not given any consent to them. Inspite of this fact, Builder in support of Police, BMC officials and politicians has been threatening the residents and also managed to forcibly evict the slum dwellers. The registration of FIR has once again exposed the corrupt nexus that exists and operates amongst the builders-politicians-police-officials that is leading to land grab from the slum dwellers.
The FIR registered contains IPC sections regarding Rioting, Armed with deadly weapons, Voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means, Extortion, Mischief, House-trespass & Assault or wrongful restraint.
