Dear CARES Network,

Unfortunately we were unable to negotiate all of the requirements of hosting a World Refugee Day parade this year.  Lessons learned and we're not giving up for next year!

There are activities planned in the community and (you can support and participate), like this event:

World Refugee Day - June 20, 2015, 1-4 p.m.

This event honors the courage, strength and determination of women, men, and children who are forced to flee their homeland under threat of persecution, conflict and violence. World Refugee Day honors the spirit and courage of millions of refugees worldwide. It is a day to recognize the contributions of refugees in their communities.

If you know of other events, please post them to the CARES Network Google group (if you have trouble just send to me and I'll post).

I'm attaching a UNHCR toolkit.  There are some more refugee stories included with hyperlinks.  It's always great to have these as resources to share in the community.
