The CitizenScience.org's Ethics Working Group quarterly meeting is this Friday. If you are interested in attending it, I can give you guest access (email me).

FYI, I am a co-chair of this working group, and part of my mandate is to raise attention to biodiversity ethics in the context of citizen science. This Friday meeting won't be centered on biodiversity ethics, however, I will be proposing a biodiversity ethics expert panel (webinar) for the CSA 2021 Conference.

When: Friday, Oct 23rd at 12pm ET | 11 am CT | 9 am PT

Duration: 1hr to 1hr15 mn

[Agenda]

□ CSA Ethics Mission & Themes we're updating our mission and themes, and we will finalize those in the first part of the meeting.

□ CSA 2021 Conference (CSA Ethics Workshop) The biennial Citizen Science conference is next May! It will happen virtually over the course of a month. We will discuss this new format as well as propose an agenda for a CSA Ethics Workshop to happen at the time of the conference.

□ Call to the Community: Invite & engage new members (through members' network). You can join and share our CSA Ethics home page, and our form to join our community forum. Thanks!

□ Reminder: Help build Trustworthy Data Practices (Call to participation) – Co-create the tools, guides, and resources to support those norms. Everyone with an interest in citizen science is invited to participate.

Cheers! - Claire
