Hi all!

Do you agree to stay a bit longer this Friday after IF Arnaud
Pocheville "A philosophical examination of models in biology" ..... to
make a plan for next Genome Biology session, future talks that we want
to organise, books.... and general plan for the end of the year? that
is getting closer and closer.

I won't be there (on the leave for holidays)...
but I'm interested in reading the book from Maynard-Smith (proposed by David) or the book on the human genome (proposed by Tamara)

I will need to leave after the IF, but this is what I could do:

- currently reading The Misunderstood Gene and theoretically I could present it in a few words and write a review of it towards the end of May. We could also invite Michel Morange as the author...
- I am not sure which book on the human genome Tim would like to read
1) Genome - The Autobiography of a Species in 23 Chapters
2) A Short Guide to Human Genome
- Genome I could make comments on during/after summer
- Short Guide can maybe be used to make a 2/3/x day workshop on basics of human genome and database mining. I would be interested in doing something like that (though not alone), but I have a lot of constraints before summer (don't know if it would be interesting for autumn...)

Let me know what you think and see you all soon!

Tamara
