Dear Gayhead Families:
On behalf of the administration, faculty, and staff, we would like to
wish each of you a peaceful and happy holiday season!
Winter recess begins on Monday, December 24th through Tuesday, January
2nd. Students return to school on Wednesday, January 3, 2013.
Please note that all of our schools in the district are locked and
maintain a single point of entry that is monitored by a staff member.
Please make sure you have photo identification with you when and if
you need to come to our school. Your cooperation is greatly
appreciated!
The next Board of Education meeting will be on January14th at
Wappingers Junior High School. Public session begins at approximately
7:30.
Save the date : There will be a Literacy night for parents who have
children in Grades K-2 on Wednesday, January 16th from 6:00-7:00pm and
General Test Taking Skills Night for parents (same night) who have
children in grades 3-5 from 7-8pm.
The next PTA meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 22nd at 7:00.
One main agenda item will be a security update on Gayhead protocols.

Our Physical Education Department would like to encourage you to
please take the time to visit the Physical Education webpage. It has a
plethora of information like: Intramurals, Jump Rope for Heart, the PE
schedule, health links, sports camps, and our muscle charts just to
name a few.
