Self Denial In Reverse

After denying myself
the simplest things
it feels so good
to reward oneself

Something desired
for over seven years
will be arriving soon
through the mail

Though I may be
behind the times
I have no problems
backtracking to find

All those desired items
for too long now
I've denied myself,
lost in some grand depression

Well the veil has lifted
the light pours on in
and these typical hypocrites
fight among themselves

Not your home,
not your street,
not your life,
but you are wrong
