taking the world for a ride
yet can't sustain
nothing to be obtained
beyond this strain
into a realm of pain

can't shake this feeling
or this wheel and dealing
feeling distrust to the core

walking that solitary road
watching life slowly unfold

I said it's just as well
slapping foreheads again
walking into the nearest wall

Celebrating myself tonight
selfish feelings that seem so right
or maybe everything has gone wrong,
