I'm not some door mat
so walk around the vicinity
keep the hell away from me

Kept silent for far too long
collared and chained,
but isn't life strange?
we all get it in the end

Read that any which way you'd like
I don't need to be confrontational
I don't want to fight
this certainly isn't confessional, is it?

Maybe one day that light bulb in your head
will spark back to life
not remain cold and dead,
waiting to be unscrewed and removed

These feelings are intensive
come along for the ride
down unknown highways extensive
to feel someone at my side?

After it is all said and done
it takes seconds to undo
all the manipulative damage
ground into me and you...
