"True Tales of the Castro (eat your heart out, Armistead!)"
http://www.gay-bible.org/write/index.htm#TRUETALES
I've finally consolidated all those writings of mine (poems,
letters, essays, stories) that in some important way, touch
upon my many years as a gay person and activist, hanging out
and living in The Castro, since 1973.
The idea for "True Tales of the Castro" just popped into my
head about two years ago...a derivative pun on Armistead
Maupin's "Tales of the City". Finally, I've gotten around to
actually *creating a section just for that. From here on, any
*new writings that are Castro-relevant, will immediately be
placed in that section.
However, I'm astonished at the new perspective my older
writings have, simply by featuring them under the True Tales,
instead of scattered throughout my writing page. But I'm
usually ahead of myself, as well as the times.
And how copasetic to announce this new section, during this
year's Gay Pride Week.
P.S.: Watch out! If you're a nasty neighbor or insulting
Castro denizen (or just visitor)...guaranTEED I'll publicly
shame you in my "True Tales"; as I've already done to former
idiots. (Are your ears burning, yet? Well, then *run, don't
walk, to "True Tale of the Castro" for the latest, and not so
latest, local gossip!)
