Subject: [GN] Bush Campaign Medal to Nader and others
Would you please stop talking about "whining" and "blaming Nader" for
the Gore defeat? I do not do either of these. Everyone who wants to
run for President may do so completely free of blame, it is our right
and joy, and more power to us.
The joke is that Big Oil Bush RECOGNIZES AND THANKS environmentalist
Nader for his (Big Oil Bush's) victory! BUT FOR Nader's determined
stand (I hope it is the last but that is up to him), Bush would still
be holed up in Texas, the state that deserves him so much. Nader's
Causes have been wiped off the national agenda by Nader himself!
This reminds me of the old Buddhist monk who killed himself hoping to
be reborn as a young man capable of doing more strenuous meditations.
I agree with you completely that Nader and his Causes should have been
embraced by Gore and Clinton. Nader should have been their most loyal
ally. Since Nader is a man of integrity and conscience, a truly great
American in my opinion, we can assume that he would have done all he
could to help Gore if Gore had allowed himself to be an ally of
Nader's Causes. This alliance was a natural, much more natural than
that of Bush/Pat Robertson/Jerry Falwell. That Gore failed to pull it
off is a signal failure of diplomacy, a Black Hole of a failure.
Nader chose not to rise above it but instead to display the real power
of a Kamikaze attack on the Aircraft Carrier "Democrat Party." This
was "friendly fire" at it meanest. That is why Big Oil Bush is
overjoyed and grateful beyond words to Ralph Nader for betraying the
only people that stood between Bush and the environment that he (Bush)
is preparing to savage, along with many other things dear to liberal
hearts.
