Democrats sweep gay issues under the carpet

Democrats. But I find it exasperating, disgusting, and downright
vicious that the Democratic Party--our only hope for any
semblance of natinal sanity (however tenuous)--will most likely
dump the gay issue once the election is over.
In fact, if Dubya "wins" a second term--"win" being a euphemism
for "coup d'état"--it's almost guaranteed we queers will be
blamed for the loss of a Democratic victory.
I've felt this way for quite a while now. Kerry has not given me
any reason to feel differently, what with his clear disapproval
of gay marriage, and his loud applause for Missouri's
constintutional ban on same, and the nigh-invisibility of any
mention of gay rights at the DNC. (Perhaps DNC is more aptly
considered an acronym for "douch and clean".)
I was planning to withhold my cynicism in this matter, till after
the "election" (or whatever it's really going to be), but I just
logged onto the California Democratic Party's web site:
and used their search option to look up "gay marriage" and "gay
rights". Guess what the results for both searches were?
Nada. Zilch. Goose egg. Zero.
Aha. But they have an "Issue Watch" section. Maybe gay issues of
some sort could be found there, and that their search engine was
simply poorly designed. So I log onto this Issue Watch section,
to find the following on gay rights or gay marriage:
Nada. Zilch. Goose egg. Zero.
Yet, we have no choice but to vote for the lesser of the evils,
since this coming election is such a clear, karmic choice
between true evil (Repubs.) and some good (Dems). Yet must we
queers once more be dumped and left to the wolves, after the
Dems gain our votes? Didn't we go through this before, with our
first "gay friendly" President (Clinton)?
This only affirms the real truth that politics stinks no matter
what party, or candidate. We have no real friend in the
Democratic Party...we have no real friend in any political
sphere. Our challenge is to find a way through this, and win our
rights, regardless.
Regardless of no real political regard for our issues of
discrimination, censorship, and violence...all of which I
presume shall increase, even under a Democratic White House.
Regardless of the fact we do not have the massive support of
religious groups, as have other oppressed minorities. Ditto for
family. Ditto for just about any group politically or socially
involved.
Is Amerika even a nation worth salvaging? Will fighting against
the GOP evil really make thinks more than marginally better for
sexual minorities in Amerika?
I wonder. Seriously. And I wonder if we don't take the matter of
our rights into our own hands, and reject conventional "wisdom"
of Amerikan party politics and "playing fair" in any other
conventional venue...I wonder if we will ever have anything even
resembling the freedom, respect, and open sanction the heterosexuals
smugly take for granted.
What should we do? Riot? Bomb? Fight in the streets? Sabotage
financial, gov't, military databases? Or just twiddle our thumbs and
pretend it's all gonna go away? Or maybe dress as clowns to delight
the jaded appetite for trash entertainment that seems to be the hetero
way?
I have no idea. But I certainly won't be particularly joyful, even if
the Donkey brays from the Oval Office once more. And I'm sure that
many queers will celebrate like there's no tomorrow, but the color
will wither from the gay rose a few months into the new year.
DOMA and DADT were the curse upon us, willfully conjured up by our
last Democratic President. Now, our best "hope" is for another Dem,
whom we know already opposes gay marriage. Which opposition is simply
a sanction to foment all sorts of prejudice against our long-suffering
community.
Amerika is ultimately an evil nation, dripping with hypocrisy, and
spreading terror around the world, as well as in her own home land.
And sexual minorities are the major scapegoat that feeds the belly of
this beast...and all other minorities--no matter how ppressed
themselves--likewise hate us queer with a vehemence as
incomprehensible as it is virulent.
Oh, sure, I know that there is plenty of racism still, poverty, job
losses and meaningless low wage jobs, etc. etc. Scratch the surface,
and you'll find it all there, ready to erupt like a pot of stew about
to over-boil.
Yet what can we conclude, when even these suffering souls behave as
the scum of the earth, in their mutual hatred against sexual
minorities?
The fortunate ones have the resources and connections to move to a
saner society, such as Canada's, Holland's, or any number of most
other Western Democracies. The rest of us queers--the majority (the
silent majority)--must survive as best we can, under this endless
regime of terror in the flimsy costume of a "free world".
Go ahead and put all your hopes in a Democrat victory. Because even if
Kerry wins, disappointment shall be yours soon enough, anyway. I'm
already there, as the writing on the wall is all too obvious to this
one wizened soul.
Do I think we will eventually win our rights? Yes, and soon. But no
way will it be thanks to the Dems, or any political party, gov't
institution, churches or communities. We will win against all odds,
because it is our destiny.

It's about time you faggots were dumped overboard.
The democrats are finally getting smart.
If they want to win ANY elections at all, they are also gonna have to
dump: welfare parasites;
felons voting;
soft on crime;
and stop all that bullshit about gun control!
