Position: OIPA Consultant (Oracle Insurance Policy Administration Resource)
Location : Kansas city, KS
Role We are looking for an experienced professional in Oracle insurance policy administration. Candidate should be able to do GAP analysis between different versions for OIPA and establish patterns for upgrade. The individual will be responsible for creating upgrade patterns from GAP analysis and drive the upgrade using a factory model with less experienced team members.
Job Description Review requirements and create technical designs and estimates.
Identify gaps between OIPA versions
Formulate standard patterns for business rule conversion that can be automated Redesign processes based on newer versions of OIPA Redesign javascript code to OIPA rules Understand changes in data model and design routines for simple ETL operations via SQL
Rapidly identify and address scope creep.
Desired Technical Skills Object Oriented design skills
Good understanding of OIPA processes and rules
Good understanding of XML
Understanding of life insurance business processes
Exposure to Object Oriented Programming and SQL
Desired Business Skills Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Insurance or Financial Services business experience - preferred, but not mandatory
Architectural review, design and critical data analysis skills
Education Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering required. Masters degree a plus
Experience Overall 6-8 years of IT experience and with 3-4 years in OIPA implementation and support role
