As we learn and experience the changes on the service, here is a good

At this point, you may already know that New GDC has restored the
Ignore feature to the group chat rooms, the primary deal-breaker for
most users. Atleast two projects are on track to bring back 3rd-party
chat client software to access GDC Chat.
